The trailer introduces Lilypad, a smart tablet voiced by Past Lives and Tron: Ares star Greta Lee. Described as an “all-new threat to playtime,” Lilypad brings modern technology into the world of classic toys, challenging the old gang to adapt in an era ruled by screens and smart devices.
Returning Voices and New Additions
Franchise veterans Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack return as Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, while Conan O’Brien joins the cast as a quirky “toilet training tech assistant” named Smarty Pants. Following the passing of Carl Weathers, actor Ernie Hudson takes over as Combat Carl.

The film is co-directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, WALL-E) and McKenna Harris, marking her directorial debut after years of experience with Pixar. According to the pair, the story explores “how our favorite legacy toys respond to today’s world of technology” in a “hilarious and poignant journey.”
