Victoria Beckham: No Singing Return, Cruz Takes Over
Victoria Beckham has said she is open to the possibility of selling her fashion company in the future, marking a major milestone after spending nearly two decades building credibility in the industry.
The former Spice Girls star, whose fashion and beauty empire now generates more than £100 million in revenue, told the Financial Times that while her current focus is expansion, she would not rule out a sale if the right opportunity emerged.
“I would never say never,” Victoria said when asked about selling the company. “Right now, I’m focused on growth, but I always stay open to possibilities.”
Her fashion label, launched in 2008 with a small collection of dresses, has grown into an international luxury brand offering clothing, handbags, shoes, and beauty products. The journey, however, has not been straightforward.

For years, the business struggled financially. Victoria Beckham Limited reported substantial losses throughout much of its history, with debts reportedly reaching £53.9 million by 2022. At various points, the company relied on financial support from investors and the wider Beckham business network, including loans linked to David Beckham’s ventures.
Despite those challenges, 2022 proved to be a breakthrough year. Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week debut and a highly successful collection helped push the company toward profitability. Revenue rose sharply, while her beauty division—launched in 2019—became a major contributor to earnings.
Reflecting on the turnaround, Victoria said she feels proud of what she has achieved after years of working to be taken seriously in fashion.
“It’s been a roller coaster,” she said, noting that finally being able to describe the business as profitable was a particularly rewarding moment.
The designer is now planning further expansion, with ambitions to grow her retail presence beyond London and establish stores in major markets such as New York and Miami.
“For a long time, we depended on online sales,” she explained. “Now I want to control the customer experience from the moment someone walks into the store.”
Victoria added that she sees untapped opportunities still ahead for the brand and hopes to continue building what she describes as a lasting fashion house.
While she remains ambitious in business, Victoria made it clear that one chapter of her career is firmly closed—music.
Although some fans continue to hope for a Spice Girls return featuring Posh Spice, the mother of four said she has no plans to perform again.
“Music was a huge part of my life,” she said. “But I’ve passed the baton to Cruz now—he’s very talented.”
She also reflected on her long marriage to David Beckham, saying mutual support has been central to their relationship and success.
“We support each other and respect each other’s big dreams,” Victoria said, adding that David’s business experience remains a valuable source of advice.
The comments come as the Beckhams reportedly entered billionaire territory, with The Sunday Times Rich List estimating their combined wealth at £1.185 billion.
Their fortunes have been built through decades of success across sport, entertainment, fashion, and commercial partnerships. David Beckham earned enormous salaries and endorsement deals throughout his football career, while Victoria transformed herself from pop star to fashion entrepreneur.
Though their path included financial setbacks and business risks, Victoria’s latest comments suggest she sees the company not as a finished success story, but as a brand still entering its next stage of growth.
