Jennifer Lopez Updates Tattoo After Ben Split Era!

Jennifer Lopez has seemingly unveiled a new version of the tattoo she once shared in tribute to former husband Ben Affleck, nearly two years after their separation.

The 56-year-old singer and actress gave fans a glimpse of the altered ink during Memorial Day celebrations, wearing an ivory dress in photos shared with family and friends. In one image, Lopez embraced her son Max, and the tattoo positioned high on her rib cage was partially visible.

The original design, introduced on Valentine’s Day in 2023, featured an infinity symbol containing both Lopez and Affleck’s first names written in cursive. While Jennifer’s name appears to remain visible, Ben’s name now seems to have been covered with dark ink. The exact new design has not been confirmed.

Earlier speculation suggested Lopez may have replaced the tattoo with a hummingbird, a symbol she has previously associated with hope and featured in artwork connected to her This Is Me… Now era, which reflected on her relationship with Affleck. Hummingbird tattoos are often linked to themes of resilience and renewal, though recent images do not clearly show a bird motif.

Lopez was also photographed displaying the revised tattoo while relaxing poolside at her Hidden Hills home in California, a property she reportedly purchased last year.

Rumors that the tattoo had been altered first surfaced in late 2024, shortly after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August of that year. The filing came on what would have been the couple’s second wedding anniversary.

The pair famously reunited in 2021 after ending their first engagement nearly two decades earlier and married in 2022. Their divorce was finalized in January 2025. Despite the split, reports indicate they are still attempting to sell the Beverly Hills estate they once shared.

Affleck had also gotten a tattoo dedicated to their relationship, featuring intersecting arrows with the initials “J” and “B.” Lopez originally revealed her matching tattoo on social media, describing it as a symbol of their commitment. At the time, she shared photos showcasing the fresh design, while also posting a close-up of Affleck’s matching ink.

Lopez spent Memorial Day surrounded by family and close friends, including her children Max and Emme, parents Guadalupe and David, and longtime collaborators and companions. Her representatives have not publicly commented on the tattoo change.
