New Taylor Swift Song for Toy Story 5

Taylor Swift is bringing new music to Disney and Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story 5 with the announcement of her original song, “I Knew It, I Knew You.” The reveal comes after the record-breaking success of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Written and produced by Swift alongside Jack Antonoff, the song will be released on June 5 across streaming and digital platforms. It will also appear on the official Toy Story 5 soundtrack, arriving on June 19 alongside the film’s theatrical debut.

Fans can already pre-order three exclusive CD editions through Swift’s website. Each version includes the movie track along with special acoustic and piano renditions featuring unique vocals and production styles.

Inspired by Jessie’s continuing story, which began in Toy Story 2, the song reflects the beloved cowgirl’s emotional journey while showcasing a return to Swift’s country-inspired sound.

Toy Story 5 director and screenwriter Andrew Stanton praised Swift’s involvement, saying her connection to Jessie and understanding of the character made the collaboration feel natural. He described the song as a perfect fit for the Toy Story world, adding that it felt as though it had always been part of the franchise.

The announcement follows a wave of teaser promotions, including “TS” billboards in major cities around the world and a Toy Story 5-themed countdown on Swift’s official website, sparking excitement among fans ahead of the official reveal.
