New birthday portrait shared for Princess Charlotte
Kensington Palace Shares New Portrait of Princess Charlotte for Her 11th Birthday
A new portrait of Princess Charlotte has been released by Kensington Palace to celebrate her 11th birthday on Saturday, marking another milestone in a busy period for the royal family.
The photograph, taken during the family’s Easter holiday in Cornwall by royal photographer Matt Porteous, shows Charlotte standing outdoors surrounded by lush greenery, with white daisies visible at her feet. Dressed casually in blue jeans and a striped jumper, she wears her hair long in the relaxed, natural portrait.
The image was shared on Kensington Palace’s official social media accounts with a simple message wishing her a happy birthday, accompanied by a cake emoji. The post quickly drew a wave of warm responses and birthday wishes from the public.

Charlotte, the daughter of the Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, is currently third in line to the British throne.
Her birthday follows closely behind other recent family celebrations. Just days earlier, the couple shared a new portrait and video to mark the eighth birthday of their youngest son, Prince Louis. The family also introduced their second dog, revealing the name Otto while celebrating the pet’s first birthday.
Meanwhile, Charlotte’s grandfather, King Charles III, has been on an overseas visit to Bermuda. During the trip, he received a ceremonial welcome and met with local communities, including youth groups and conservationists, as well as touring an exhibition focused on the history of the slave trade.
Together, these events highlight a period of both personal celebrations and official duties for the royal family.
