Paris Fashion Week 2026-27: Max paves his way as child designer

Fourth grader and fashion enthusiast Max Alexander has taken a major step in his young career by appearing at Paris Fashion Week 2026–2027. The rising designer made his official debut by presenting the Max Alexander Women’s Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection at the historic Palais Garnier.

Despite his young age, Max has already captured the attention of the fashion industry with his creativity, bold ideas, and strong commitment to sustainability.

A Collection Inspired by Creativity and Sustainability

Max Alexander’s latest collection featured 15 unique designs inspired by florals, imaginative details, and creative recycling techniques. Sustainability played a central role in the young designer’s approach.

In an interview with CBS News, Max explained that eco-friendly production is essential to his design philosophy.
“My collection consists of 15 dresses, and 90% of my show is biodegradable, recyclable, sustainable, and made from dead stock and surplus materials,” he said.

By using leftover fabrics and repurposed materials, Max aims to reduce waste while proving that sustainable fashion can still be innovative and stylish.

Standout Pieces from the Runway

Several pieces from the collection stood out for their originality and sustainable craftsmanship. One of the highlights was an upcycled Indian saree transformed into a dramatic high-low gown, combining traditional textiles with modern runway aesthetics.

Another notable design featured a vintage dress reconstructed into an elegant formal silhouette, created using a French military parachute along with repurposed Hermès duster bags.

These designs reflect Max’s ability to merge storytelling, creativity, and environmental awareness in fashion.

The Youngest Runway Fashion Designer

Max Alexander first gained global attention in 2023 after earning a Guinness World Record as the youngest runway fashion designer. In an interview with PEOPLE, he jokingly said that he believed he was Guccio Gucci in a past life, referencing the founder of the iconic luxury brand.

Since then, his reputation as a young fashion prodigy has continued to grow.

Speaking at the United Nations About Fashion Waste

In 2024, Max was invited to speak at the United Nations, where he addressed the issue of fashion waste and overconsumption of fabrics in the industry. During his talk, he encouraged people to rethink their shopping habits and support sustainable fashion practices.

“I am happy I got to show the world my designs and maybe encourage people to think about reuse and not buying so much fast fashion,” he said.

Gratitude to His Supporters

Following his Paris Fashion Week debut, Max shared a message on Instagram, thanking everyone who supported him from the beginning of his journey. His rapid rise in the fashion world continues to inspire many young creatives around the globe.

With talent, imagination, and a strong commitment to sustainability, Max Alexander is proving that the future of fashion may already be here.
