Keurig Dr Pepper has pulled thousands of McCafé Premium Roast Decaf Coffee K-Cup Pods from the market after the pods were found to potentially contain caffeine, despite being labeled as decaf.

Why the Coffee Is Being Recalled

More than 80,000 McCafé decaf coffee pods are affected. According to regulators, individuals who choose decaf due to caffeine sensitivity could be at risk. Children, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, and those with certain medical conditions may experience temporary health effects if they consume caffeine unexpectedly.

The FDA categorized the incident as a Class II recall, meaning the product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.
