Tom Parker Bowles Laughs Off Prince Rumors

Tom Parker Bowles has shared his thoughts on the idea of joining the British royal family as a titled member.

The food writer and son of Queen Camilla joked about becoming a prince while appearing on Samuel Goldsmith’s Good Food podcast.

Laughing off the suggestion, Parker Bowles said that granting him a royal title would likely cause public outrage.

He remarked that Britain is generally a sensible country, but if he suddenly became a prince, the reaction could be extreme, even joking that Buckingham Palace gates might be stormed.

He added that such a move would be damaging to the monarchy, saying it could set back its long-standing reputation by many years.

When Goldsmith teased that a royal title might at least earn him a Netflix show, Parker Bowles responded humorously that he “wouldn’t mind that.”

Queen Camilla shares Tom Parker Bowles and her daughter Laura Lopes with her former husband Andrew Parker Bowles. Both children were adults when Camilla married King Charles in 2005.
