Kim Shares Update After Bar Exam Loss
Kim Kardashian broke down in tears after learning she did not pass the California bar exam — a major milestone she needs to complete in order to become a licensed attorney. After revealing last week that she failed the test, the Kardashians star shared an emotional video on Instagram on Sunday (November 16), documenting her intense two-week study period leading up to the exam. “I’ve shared so much of this journey with you, and this summer I documented some of the final two weeks of studying — the ups, the downs, and everything in between,” Kardashian wrote in the caption.
Determination After Not Passing the Bar
Kardashian revealed that she learned on November 7 that she hadn’t passed. Despite the disappointing result, she emphasized that she is not giving up on her dream:

“It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end. This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I’m going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there.”
Inside Kim Kardashian’s Study Journey

The video begins with Kardashian crying on her bed before rewinding to clips filmed two weeks prior to the exam. The footage shows her reviewing cases, studying with professors, and pushing through a painful back injury that flared up at the worst possible time.
“Every time I feel like I’m a step ahead, something happens to try to stop me from doing this,” she said tearfully. “A part of me just wants to stop… I just feel like my brain’s gonna explode, and I still have so much more to go.”
However, she regained confidence the day before the exam, saying she felt “prepared” and physically stronger than in previous days.
According to CalBar.ca.gov, the California bar exam includes five one-hour essays, a 90-minute performance test, and 200 multiple-choice questions.
Staying Motivated: ‘No Shortcuts, No Giving Up’
Following her results, Kardashian shared another message on Instagram Stories, referencing her role in Hulu’s legal drama All’s Fair, which premiered the same day:

“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV. Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”
She added that being “so close” to passing has only fueled her motivation.
