Sydney Sweeney Buys Back Her Family’s Lake House After Five Generations
During an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 26-year-old star revealed that she recently bought back her family’s lake house, a property that has been part of her family for five generations.
“My family has been living on this lake for five generations,” Sweeney said. “My grandma was born and raised in this house, then she had my mom there, and I grew up in it too.”

She went on to explain that the properties were always close together, with her great-grandparents living next door. However, the home was sold to another couple after her great-grandfather’s death due to financial struggles.
“When I was born, my great-grandparents had already passed away, and they sold the property to another couple,” Sweeney shared.

Years later, the actress decided to reclaim the family home, reconnecting with her roots and preserving the legacy that means so much to her. She fondly remembered running through the backyard and visiting her relatives’ nearby homes, calling it her “childhood playground.”

Sweeney’s latest project, the boxing biopic Christy, is currently showing in theaters.
