Tales From ’85 Extends the ST Universe

The Stranger Things universe will continue to grow beyond Season 5 with the upcoming animated Netflix series “Stranger Things: Tales from ’85”, arriving in 2026. Set during the winter of 1985, the story takes place between Seasons 2 and 3 and returns viewers to Hawkins, where the core characters—now brought to life through animation—face new supernatural threats and an all-new paranormal mystery.

According to the Duffer Brothers, an animated project was one of their earliest ideas for expanding the franchise, noting that the medium offers “unlimited creative possibilities.” The voice cast includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, and additional new talent, helping keep the spirit of Hawkins alive after the conclusion of the live-action storyline.

Meanwhile, Stranger Things Season 5 is currently streaming on Netflix. Its first volume has already generated approximately Rs 1 billion, and the next volume is scheduled for release on December 25.
