Kate and William Open Star-Studded Royal Show
Princess Kate lit up the Royal Variety Show as she joined Prince William to officially open the prestigious annual event at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The Prince and Princess of Wales led the audience in the National Anthem, marking a memorable start to the glittering evening.
The Royal Variety Show was filmed on Wednesday, November 19, and aired on ITV1 this evening, drawing viewers eager to see the royal couple and a lineup of Britain’s biggest stars.
For the glamorous occasion, the Princess of Wales dazzled in a festive green velvet dress, paired with matching Manolo Blahnik pumps and elegant Cartier diamond jewellery. The mother of three appeared relaxed, confident, and radiant as she greeted performers and took her seat for the night’s entertainment.
Prince William and Princess Kate watched a wide range of performances throughout the evening. Singer Jessie J delivered a powerful rendition of I’ll Never Know Why, while comedian Stephen Fry brought his signature wit and humour to the stage.
The audience was also treated to a special performance from the cast of Les Misérables, including Michael Ball, Matt Lucas, Katy Secombe, Bradley Jaden, and Killian Donnelly. Composer Tom Fletcher introduced the upcoming Paddington musical, and Britain’s Got Talent winner Harry Moulding impressed guests with his magic skills.
The show was hosted by comedian Jason Manford, who returned to present the event after previously hosting the 2020 lockdown edition. His jokes about parenting drew laughter from the audience, including a visible chuckle from Prince William and Princess Kate.
The Royal Variety Show once again proved to be a night of glamour, entertainment, and royal charm, with the Prince and Princess of Wales setting the tone for an unforgettable evening at one of London’s most iconic venues.
