Prince George, Charlotte and Louis Appearance in Six Months Kate’s Christmas Service

The young royals delight at Westminster Abbey as they support Princess Kate at her annual “Together at Christmas” carol service.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis made a charming return to the spotlight on Friday, Dec. 5, marking their first joint public outing in six months. The royal siblings joined Kate Middleton and Prince William for the Princess of Wales’ annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in London.

Festive Family Arrival at Westminster Abbey

Princess Kate arrived early to welcome guests, volunteers and performers, but stepped back outside to greet William and their children as they arrived. The family impressed with their coordinated winter outfits in tones of green and navy, a nod to Kate’s signature seasonal style.

  • Prince George, 12, mirrored his mother with a green tie matching her forest-green coat dress.
  • Prince Louis, 7, and George both wore smart suits similar to their father’s.
  • Princess Charlotte, 10, opted for a navy dress reminiscent of her mother’s recent Festival of Remembrance ensemble.

Before entering the abbey, the children added personalized red paper links—each signed with their names—to a Christmas tree outside as part of the event’s festive activities.

Special Moments Inside the “Together at Christmas” Service

Inside the candlelit abbey, George, Charlotte and Louis joined the congregation in holding lit candles during a musical performance, creating one of the evening’s most heartwarming scenes.

This rare appearance marks the trio’s first outing together since Trooping the Colour in June.

A Busy Year for the Young Royals

While joint appearances are limited, each child has been gradually taking part in more royal events:

  • Prince George made his debut at the Festival of Remembrance in November.
  • George and Charlotte attended Wimbledon with their parents in July.
  • Princess Charlotte joined Prince William for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 final later that month.

The children have attended the Christmas service regularly since its launch—George and Charlotte beginning in 2022, and Louis joining in 2023.

Kate Middleton’s Growing Holiday Tradition

Now in its fourth year, the “Together at Christmas” service was introduced by Princess Kate in 2021 to honor individuals who supported their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event has since evolved into a cherished royal holiday tradition broadcast nationwide.
