William’s $30M Income Stuns Sussexes
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be unsettled after new financial figures highlighted Prince William’s recent income, according to reports.
A newly released annual report from the Duchy of Cornwall — the estate that provides funding for the Prince and Princess of Wales — showed that William earned an estimated $30 million during the 2024–2025 financial year. The figure quickly drew public attention and, according to sources quoted in entertainment outlets, did not go unnoticed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Insiders claim that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, were “shocked” by the scale of William’s income and view the situation as further evidence of what they perceive as a “double standard” within the Royal Family.
“From Harry and Meghan’s point of view it feels incredibly unfair and hypocritical,” one source was quoted as saying. “Anytime they secure a major deal they’re criticized and accused of being greedy, yet William can reportedly earn $30 million and no one questions it.”
The insider also noted that William is believed to benefit from additional revenue sources beyond the Duchy, adding to the couple’s sense that public scrutiny is unevenly applied. “The rules are completely different depending on which side of the family you’re on. It’s a massive double standard,” the source added.
The financial comparison comes nearly six years after Harry and Meghan stepped back from official royal duties, a decision that allowed them to pursue commercial partnerships with companies such as Netflix, Spotify, and Apple. While those deals initially generated significant attention, observers say the couple’s public approval has fluctuated over time.
According to the latest reports, the contrast between William’s financial stability and the Sussexes’ current circumstances has reportedly prompted tense private discussions.
