AI-Driven Video Creation Tools for Disney+ Subscribers

During Disney’s recent earnings call, Iger expressed strong enthusiasm for the role of AI in shaping next-generation streaming experiences.

Iger revealed that Disney is exploring AI-powered short-form video creation tools that would allow subscribers not only to watch content, but also to create their own. According to Iger, he is “really excited about AI” and sees “phenomenal opportunities to deploy AI across our direct-to-consumer platforms.”

These new capabilities could make Disney+ more interactive, dynamic, and engaging, offering subscribers creative tools directly within the platform. While Disney has not yet shared specific details on how these features will work, the initiative suggests a major shift toward personalized and participatory entertainment.

Expanding Disney+ With Game-Like Experiences and Commerce

Beyond artificial intelligence, Iger hinted at additional innovations headed to Disney+. These may include game-like experiences built in collaboration with Epic Games, enabling deeper interactivity and crossover opportunities with popular franchises.

Disney is also exploring new commerce integrations tied to its parks, hotels, and cruise experiences. This could allow subscribers to browse and shop for Disney travel and merchandise directly through the streaming platform.

Continued Growth for Disney+

The announcement comes as Disney+ continues to show strong performance in North America. In Q4 2025, the service added 1.5 million subscribers across the U.S. and Canada, bringing the total to 59.3 million. The growth follows recent subscription price increases across Disney’s streaming plans.
