Truck Carrying 12 Tons of KitKat Stolen in Europe

Swiss food giant Nestlé announced on Saturday that a shipment of KitKat chocolate bars has gone missing in Europe after thieves stole the truck transporting the goods.

The vehicle was carrying 413,793 bars from KitKat’s new product range, totaling around 12 tons of chocolate. The shipment departed from central Italy and was expected to reach its final destination in Poland, where the products would be distributed across European markets. However, the truck never arrived, and its current whereabouts remain unknown.

Nestlé did not disclose the exact location where the cargo was lost, and both the vehicle and the chocolate bars are still unaccounted for.

In a separate statement, KitKat noted that the stolen products can be identified through a unique batch code. Anyone who scans the batch numbers will receive instructions on how to contact the company, allowing the items to be traced if they reappear.

Commenting on the incident, KitKat said that while the thieves may have shown “exceptional taste,”
